I strongly don't agree on what Robert Scott say about Listen Carefully to Education Commisioner's Critique. I don’t think the standardized testing the state of Texas don’t do any goods. I don’t believe in every single child learning ability is the same, they don’t absorb the information the same and the ways they study aren’t the same either. By making the standardized test for the state of Texas Education, to me it’s like saying every student has the exact same way of learning and that the entire student is the same. Not only that it adds more stress for the student but it also jeopardizes the school districts and the teacher’s job.

If the school districts don’t meet the standard percentage rate of passing of the test, then there might be some cuts to the school districts. I feel like sometimes we are judge what it’s on the outside instead of the inside. For instance, if a certain school didn’t have the standard percentage rate of passing, then they should lay off some of the teachers. The entire politician wants is that their state to have a good education program. Regardless how much pressure they put on the school district, students and the teachers. You can’t expect student with special needs to work the same pace like the normal student is.

In conclusion, I don’t agree with Mr. Scott view points. Teachers and administrators don’t need standardized test base so that they can tell what their professional education futures are going to be like. Instead of cutting school funding, they should come up with a better ways to improve the student’s academics. For instance, they should have after school program to help them improve their study skills and help them find better ways to improve their grades. Cut school funding and after school activities are not going to help them improve their standardized test. All in all we need to see more action and less talking.

I had just finished reading an article on Tea Party Is the Solution Not the Problem. I believe that shutting down the government isn't a solution. Instead of sitting down and work it out like adult should or met each other half way. Instead the government decided to shut down because they don't see eyes to eyes. Both the Democrats and the Republican saying they both will come to an agreement sooner or later. They sure are both taking their special times to agree on something that shouldn’t be that long to decide. We’re not trying to point any fingers, but “according to President Barack Obama, a fraction of Republicans is holding the nation hostage to its ideological demands”.

Due to the Republicans doesn’t agree with what the Democrats are doing, they decided just to put a hold on the nation. I strongly believe not only the Republicans are putting our nation in danger but also risking our nation economic just over an idiotic dilemma. For instance, our services men and women don’t get pay because of the government shut down, but they still work anyway to keep us citizen safe. Imagine if we don’t have those service men and women would we be safe or would our nations turn into a raid.  If the government doesn’t come to a term of agreement any time soon, this would give the terrorist advantage to attack our nation.

The Republicans need to stop being selfish and start doing what is right for the nations instead of their own benefit. Shutting down the government is not a very smart way to solve the issue; instead they created more issue for the nations. I understand why they don’t want to solve the issues it’s because they don’t want to spend their money on something they don’t believe in. I strongly believe that if we invest in our money and time wisely on our nations. Not only the nations will be greatly appreciative but other country will have a different view point seeing us as a nation
